Africa and international co-operation

A cycle of seminars for those who wish to come to a better understanding of the black continent and the co-operation interventions in favour of development that have involved it. Every seminar deals with the various dimensions of one of the main phases in African history, from the 50’s to date, analysing how international co-operation has adapted to the context, changing its philosophy and its methods.

Geographical development: Asia

The history, politics, economy and society of the largest and most complex of continents. The seminars carry out a particular analysis of the areas where the associations and missionaries from Trentino are involved.

Un corso per scoprire la solidarietà internazionale attraverso le voci e le prassi agite in Trentino. Testimonianze dirette che mostrano come il nostro territorio pensa e vive la solidarietà internazionale, come le associazioni laiche e religiose, alcuni soggetti provinciali, i volontari internazionali si muovono in tale ambito.

TeSI: Tessere Solidarietà Internazionale (Developing International Solidarity)

TeSI is a proposal open to active citizens, to spread awareness and reflection on the most important themes of international solidarity. Each of the experts and scholars deal with a precise theme: development, assessment, micro-finance, fair trade.

Contesti Internazionali in eVoluzione e Cooperazione Allo Sviluppo 

Civicas è un percorso che intende introdurre alla conoscenza dei contesti contemporanei gli studenti delle lauree triennali dell'Università di Trento. Fa riferimento agli approcci della cooperazione internazionale per promuovere una maggiore consapevolezza dei fenomeni globali e delle trasformazioni in atto a livello politico, sociale, economico e territoriale.
Questa prima edizione consiste in un corso di 20 ore tenuto da esperti in varie discipline (storia, sociologia, economia, cooperazione) e rivolto agli iscritti ai corsi di laurea triennali della Facoltà di Ingegneria a Trento.

University credit in International Co-operation

A training course for Engineering students. The course supplies basic knowledge on co-operation and development, exploring how the characteristic competences of international solidarity are used in different areas.

Giovani Solidali

A voyage of discovery of solidarity. Giovani Solidali (Fair Young People) offers young people aged between 18 and 26 years a course by means of which to come to a critical understanding of the complexity of the world and the commitment involved in international solidarity; an experience of international volunteering and the possibility to become witnesses of solidarity within one’s own territory. In collaboration with the Municipality of Rovereto.

EsSerCI nel mondo (Being in the world)

A course dedicated to Civil Service volunteers who wish to understand what it means to engage in international solidarity. With EsSerCI, the volunteers develop their understanding of the global world, they deal with the most important themes of co-operation and development and learn to critically think about how to engage in international solidarity.

2. Planning tools

Project cycle 1: ideation and elaboration

The project cycle is the main tool for planning and bringing about actions of solidarity that might be appropriate and effective; a good project is also a precious resource in the search for funding. The course explains the first two phases in the implementation of a project: the idea and the elaboration, with a practical approach that supplies all the necessary tools.

Project cycle 2: implementation and assessment

The writing of a project is only the beginning of the solidarity action. The second part of the PCM (Project Cycle Management) course deals with the phases of effective implementation of the activities and correct assessment. The training is practical: the participants get to know and experience the tools useful for obtaining the best results.

Co-development

International solidarity promoted by associations of foreigners. The course links migration, development and international co-operation, it analyses the relationship between emigration and the conditions of the countries of origin and it introduces the basic elements of the project cycle.

Planning workshop

 

Support for the processing phase of the projects. Aimed at solidarity associations, organised with several workshops and small groups in order to provide focused and effective support.

Project cycle 3: advanced

Methodological and practical insight into the various planning phases. The course focuses on the planning tools, the preparation of the project document and the operational plan.

Cooperazione Internazionale e Progetti Europei

Un corso-laboratorio che aiuta a cogliere le opportunità offerte dai finanziamenti europei dedicati alla cooperazione allo sviluppo, approfondendo i passaggi preliminari e gli aspetti gestionali dei progetti supportati dalla Commissione Europea: procedure contrattuali, organizzazione delle attività, gestione dei partenariati, monitoraggio e valutazione interna, amministrazione e rendicontazione.

Communicating development

How do the organisations speak about co-operation? This course gives participants an insight into how others see them, it then carries out a critical analysis of the typical communication methods of the NGOs and it introduces elements of effective social communication. By way of completion of the journey, there is also an insight into the photography of the countries in the south of the world.

L'impresa e la sostenibilità

Come assicurare la sostenibilità organizzativa e contabile dei progetti di micro e piccola impresa? Con questo laboratorio vogliamo unire la strategia del progetto con quella di impresa, lavorando in modo pratico sul ruolo delle associazioni di solidarietà internazionale che iniziano e accompagnano progetti imprenditoriali nel Sud del mondo.

Water to the field

Costruzione di  partnership e trasferimento tecnologico nelle attività di gestione dell’acqua. Formazione sul campo nella zona di Calì (Colombia); un percorso di condivisione, di formazione e di rielaborazione centrato sull’importanza della creazione di rapporti fiduciari tra tutti gli attori e portatori di interesse nella gestione della risorsa idrica, e sul processo di trasferimento tecnologico dalla fase di ideazione a quella di attuazione, al fine di rendere le metodologie già in atto il più possibile sostenibili ed efficaci.

3. Programming, planning and organising

Managing complexity

The organisational processes in international solidarity organisations. The course helps to develop individual and organisational abilities that may be useful for managing relationships, identifying critical points and creating awareness.

Co-operating in conflict

How to promote change in a context of armed violence? Beginning from an analysis of experiences only to then elaborate intervention tools in areas of conflict and post-conflict.

Comunità e sviluppo locale

La nostra prima summer school tematica. Si tratta è un corso intensivo di due settimane, che porta in Trentino un gruppo di studio dalla Colombia per un lavoro di ricerca e confronto sul processo di definizione di strategie di sviluppo locale. Al centro del percorso formativo è il concetto complesso di capitale territoriale, affrontato ogni giorno viene affrontato un aspetto dello sviluppo, combinando teoria, lavori di gruppo e incontri con gli attori di sviluppo locale per valorizzare le conoscenze dei partecipanti e del territorio.
